Turner (Mignon,
Cameron, Eniko, Kevin "K to the T", Debbie) |
Stevenson
(Carol, Bob, Melissa, David, Dana); $20,000 |
Turners clad in red.
Stevensons clad in Fremantle money. Who will emerge
triumphant today?
Round 1: something rich
people talk about (7). Carol fires with money... number
one! Unfortunately, that's all they seem to talk about,
as the Turners get the question. They try investments
for the steal... YES! They get 67. Other answers:
business, themselves, cars, other rich people, poor
people.
Round 2: something you
see on the cover of a Christmas card (7). Cameron fires
back with a tree, number one. Also on our card here,
Santa, Jesus, snow, reindeer, angels, and... a star? The
Stevensons hope so... No! They should've gone with a
greeting. The Turners have 154.
Double Round: you never
forget how to ride a bike; something else you never
forget how to do (5). Melissa gets #3, skating. And
David? "After watching all of these 'Family Feuds', I've
been waiting to answer this question... Make love."
Number two. Carol gets walk, #4. The Stevensons never
forget to breathe...Not there! The Stevensons are on
with 68. Number one: drive. Other answer: write/sign
name.
Triple Round: a public
place where you see parents disciplining their children (4). Kevin
gets number one, the grocery store. They also get a
park, a restaurant, and a school to sweep and win,
433-68.
Mignon and Cameron,
husband and wife, now Feud partners in Fast Money.
Cameron gets 56. Mignon gets the family up to 131 for
$655. |

Ben Goggins
(retired marine biologist from Tybee Island, GA);
$25,000 |
Ed Lewis
(attorney from Los Angeles) |
Dustin Burke (graduate
student from Philadelphia) |
It wasn't even a contest
yesterday. Ben could've won $40,000 yesterday. Could he
repeat today?
He starts with $200
Brando. Ed finds the Daily Double early under $1000. He
wagers $500 on the Brando as Johnny, leader of the Black
Rebels. "What is 'The Wild Ones'?" Oops, pluralized it.
It was "The Wild One", leaving Ed with $1100.
After a break and some
acey-deucey, Ben launches into the lead with $6400 to
Ed's $4100. Dustin, in a close third with $4000, starts
up Double Jeopardy!...
... with $400 Brand-O.
Ben finds the first Daily Double under $1200 Trees &
Shrubs. With a big lead, he bets $2000. Here's Jon: "The
familiar North American broadleaf trees are mainly this
type, from the Latin for 'falling off.'" "What are
deciduous?" Right for $14,400. Again, Ben builds up a
$10,000 lead going into the second Daily Double under
$1600 News on the March. The bet is $2000. The clue is:
on March 10 1629 this king dissolved Parliament, leading
to his eventual downfall & demise. "Who is James I?"
Close,. it was Charles I. He has $14,400 now. Dustin has
a chance with Ben at $10,400 (Ben has $20,800). Ed could
play spoiler with $5700.
Just a reminder that if
you're on the Pacific Time Zone, tonight's your shot. Go
to Jeopardy.com and, as Doug Morris would say, "prepare
to qualify."
Final Jeopardy!
in "20th Century Theater": this play ends with
1 character asking, "Well? Shall we go?"; the other
replies "Yes, let's go" but they do not move. Correct
question: What is "Waiting for Godot"?
Ben gets this right and
only bets $1000 to win $21,800 for today, and $46,800
for two days. |

Price is Right by Chico Alexander, GSNN

According to our good friends at G-R.net, yesterday's
show was the early show from March 13 (remember, they
tape twice on Mondays). Today is the late show.
Yesterday was a skunk... Today, a new story begins.
And the first authors of our
story, Karen Hutchison, David Zucker, Sara Schoenhoft,
and Tanya Meechukant. Chapter 1... a $1349
fridge/freezer combo. Winner: Karen. She gets to Make
her Move for a 20 Q? game, a sofa, and a trip to
Montreal. The lineup: 5 0 5 6 2 0 9 1 3. She thinks the
game is $20, the sofa is $913, and the trip to Montreal
is $5056. And she's right, right, right!
David gets a pair of
patio heaters worth $599. Today, he's playing for a GEM
of a car in the Range Game. He stops at $9165. Actual
price... $9390. That's about $75 short of the upper
bound, so... yeah, no Gemcar for David.
Avonne Perry, a jumper
and a shaker, gets to play on stage after winning a
$1080 set of cookware. And the fruits of her labor
should she win, a Chevrolet Impala! The game is
Pathfinder, and she doesn't even need the three side
prizes, as she wins the $21,584 going left, back, left,
and forward to the outside.
And Bob is running for
his life, hiding behind two Pathfinder tables and a
Rachel.
(C-Note: To date,
Pathfinder has never been played for a Pathfinder.
Nissans are from Japan, a TPIR no-no.)
David finds the path to
$1000... Spin a dollar on the wheel. We'll see him in
the Showcase. Who else will we see? Maybe Sara, who wins
a $480 gear box. She'll play Side By Side for a hot tub.
Will she go left to $6995 or right to $9569? She goes
left. And then right... and then left again... And she's
right!
Or maybe Michael Kinney.
He wins a $700 rocker. He'll REALLY rock if he wins a
Ford Focus playing One Away. The price is NOT $28,825.
Michael switches it up to $17,936. He gets one...
two.... two honks. He switches again to $19,716. The 1
is right.. the 9 is right... the 7 is right... the 1
is... wrong. Price: $19,734.
Or maybe Lt. Elizabeth
Wicht, USN. She wins snowshoe equipment worth $956. She
gets a chance to win a digital piano in Hi-Lo. On the
Hi, per Elizabeth...
Capzasin P - $12.99
Garlique - 13.99
Viactiv calcium chews - 8.99
Looks good... Now to the
Lo...
Chips Ahoy - 55c
David jalapeno sunflower seeds - 1.09
Hot Pockets - 2.29
WINNER! She's also a
winner at the Wheel, joining David at the Showcase.
First up, a Showcase that
sounds like a Fox special: Prizes Gone Bad... Said
prizes: washer/dryer, 4 CD stereo, and a Hi-Lo travel
trailer. Elizabeth passes to David, who bids $19,500.
Elizabeth gets a dining room with dinnerware, a year of
Shari's Berries, and a boat. She bids $17,645. Actual
price: $26,415. Difference: $8790. Actual price of
David's Showcase... $19,.... 000. If they had switched
bids, he would've won. Instead, he's $500 over, and
Elizabeth has a brand new boat, on top of $33,906 in
prizes.
What a difference a day
makes.
