You're probably asking yourself,
"Self... what could be better than cars?" How about a pair of soap
stars modeling cars... And how about if those cars were actually
SUPERSTAR DREAM CARS?! It's TPIR Dream Car Week once again, and
we've got we're-not-married-but-we-play-it-on-TV Matthew Atkinson
& Hunter King from "next door" (Y&R) helping out!
First up, though, we have Jana Hambruck, Angela Bacon, Katrina
Larkin, and Jacob Caughey bidding on a pair of Microsoft Surfaces.
The $898 tablet PCs go to Angela, who can add on an ATV and a
washer/dryer if she knows whether or not to Switch?. The ATV is
marked at $3849. The washer/dryer, $2748. She decides to give the
models a break and stay. ... GOOD CALL!
Jacob, a recent US Army retiree, falls in line for a $1210 set of
jewelry, but that shine pales in comparison to today's Dream
Car... A PORSCHE CAYENNE! The game's a bit of a challenge, though.
It's Lucky Seven. First number: 5. First guess is 7... BINGO!
Second guess is 4... AND ANOTHER! Third guess is 4... It's 6 for a
dollar. SO... Here's where we stand. The board has $57,46_. Jacob
has $6. He needs $1 for the car, so he can miss this by $5 either
way. The last guess is purely academic. He goes with 5. ... Not
only did he win... it's THE RIGHT NUMBER! $57,465 WORTH OF PORSCHE
FOR A DOLLAR!
Otis Butler III is the III up on stage with a $1400 set of
luggage. Surely he should pack it for somewhere, but where? How
about Boston (6n @ Onyx Hotel)? He's got Shell Game. He gets two
guesses from a $30 ice cream maker and a $40 hair remover. He goes
into the center. So if the ball is on the periphery... well, we
won't think about that. The ball is... on the periphery. Shell #4.
Angela wins $1000 from the Big Wheel. Meanwhile Fredwayna Hawkins
wins a $1598 patio heater from the next one-bid. Hopefully she can
complete the party with a barbecue island in Bonkers. The price is
not $6745. Pretty tough set up... but not impossible. She nails it
on the third try with high-low-high-high! It was $9359!
Katrina scores a $520 WiiU package and a shot at, not THE dream
car, but A dream car, a Mini Cooper Roadster M6 convertible in
Pass the Buck. She gets two picks from the Pass the Buck board.
The first pick is 5... $5000. She tries for the car behind #2...
and LOSES EVERYTHING. The car was next door to the money, #6.
Jana has one last shot at it with a set of BCBG shoes. The price:
$895. The winner.. JANA! Now can she keep it moving with a
spinning bike and a MacPro in Double Cross?
SPINNING BIKE
2 3 1 8 6 9
7
1 4 3
4 5 0
MACPRO
She goes with $1745 for the spin bike and $4378 for the Mac... GOT
IT!
Fredwayna would meet Angela in the Showcase, though. First up,
something for your inner biker - trips to Thailand (6n @ Twinpauls
Phuket) & Morocco (6n @ Casablanca) AND a Honda Shadow Phantom.
Top winner Angela bids $26,000. Fredwayna gets ... more shinies...
an HDTV, a trip to Rio (6n), and a Bowrider ski boat. She bid
$31,000. Actual price: $37,740, a difference of $6740. Actual
price of Angela's Showcase... $29,981! She wins with a difference
of $3981. And it says a lot when you have $38,476 worth of prizes,
and you're not the big winner.
Welcome to Dream Car Week, friends. |

While you were out taking selfies
at New York's Comic-Con, we were talking about everything else in
Rapid Refresh. Tonight's #HashtagWars in honor of National Dessert
Day and baby shower cake fails... it's #RuinADessert. Jen leads
with 900 to the others' 700 a pop.
For act 2, we have Survival of the
Dickish (from the animalsbeingdicks Tumblr) and Low Cost Cosplay:
New York Comic-Con edition. Today's Live Challenge: Killer Clowns
from Central California. Trending on Facebook: a mysterious man
dressing as a clown. The police of Wasco... not happy. But what
should their town motto be? Braunger gets the 1000 from this:
"Welcome to Wacky Wasco, the home of hellish anxiety, dread, and
horrifying clowns that will kill you! Honestly, in this day and
age, wouldn't you rather see it coming?"
Next up, Pls RT. No thank you, Jo
Koy. RED LIGHT!
FTW: NBC Connecticut reports that a
local woman is in trouble for calling 911 162 times for
complaining about... first world problems. Write the first line of
call #163. The winning call: "Hello, 911? Just calling to say I'm
NOT gonna call you anymore because I met someone. But he hasn't
called. Should I call him or wait 3 days?" And that's good enough
to give JEN KIRKMAN the Internet for the next 23.5 hours!
Remember, today's funny becomes
tomorrow's source material. Follow the game online @midnight.

Balboa for the money in half the time!

4. A picture/frame 3
The last survey was the big difference, as the Gallmans had to get

phone, clothes/coat/hat and a towel and they knew that the last
answer was a picture/frame, to win the game.
Alexis & Shae will now attempt their luck in Fast Money. Alexis
did well with some of her answers, as she got 88. Shae had too
many light answers before recovering at the end, which wasn't

costly, despite all #1 answers were given out. They only get $925.

Shane gets to defend for the first
time against two big city players...
CHAMPION
Shane
Curtis
Lansing, KS
assistant professor
$18,401 |
Dan
Tran
orig. Boston
PhD student in physics |
Amanda
Brown
Dallas
graphic artist |
Shane starts with $200 Food &
Drink. Dan finds the Daily Double under $600 Questionable Grammar
in Lyrics. He makes it true on this: "Every little thing she does
is magic, everything she do just turns me on" as an issue with
agreement of these 2 elements. "What are the subject &...
predicate?" FOR THE DOUBLER, $4000! He ends the round with $5200
to Shane's $2400. Amanda, who's out of the hole but with zero,
will go first in Double Jeopardy!...
... with $400 The Cast of Fast
Times at Ridgemont High. Shane finds the first Daily Double
under $2000 International Trade. He bets the level on this: per US
DOT figures, this Central American nation has the largest
registered merchant fleet in the world. "What is Costa Rica?" No,
it's my ancestral homeland of Panama, leaving him with $4400. He
tries again with $1200 A Confederacy of Dunces. He tries $2000
again, and here's Jimmy. "Union soldiers found Robert E. Lee's
handwritten plans wrapped around 3 cigars & lying in a field east
of Sharpsburg, Maryland, 4 days before this bloody 1862 battle."
"What is Gettysburg?" No, it was Antietam, leaving him with $7600.
Still leading, but only just. He ends with that much, but Dan has
$10,400 to Amanda's $2000.
FINAL JEOPARDY! on "Sports
Figures": he was featured on the September 22, 1947
cover of Time with the caption "He and the Boss Took a
Chance". Correct response: who was Jackie Robinson?
The guys were in the right
ballpark... literally... and ended up in a tie at $5600, so Dan
will return with $5600, while Shane returns with $24,001 for two.
And Amanda goes home with $2000. |

much of a wedding gift she and her fiancée are getting if she
helps here. Adam says, "The deluxe four-slice toaster." Danielle
accepts this, and says that D is out. They then agree that it's
between A and C, but neither of them are sure which one it is, so
Adam walks with $18,750! Good thing they did; it's B! (Tom Bradley
