Family BrainSurge Nick All-Star Season Premiere
by Chico Alexander

Nick: 6p/5C
Host: Jeff Sutphen
Official WebsiteFacebookTwitter
A new season of Family BrainSurge begins with... the stars of Nickelodeon! Each team is playing for a Braintrust in the audience.

Supah Ninjas
Ryan Potter, Carlos Knight & Gracie Dzenny
BT: Rain
House of Anubis
Nathalia Ramos & Jade Ramsey
BT: Joshua & dad John
VicTORIous
Victoria Justice & Leon Thomas III
BT: Claudia & dad Rico
Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures
Dillon Lane & Taylor Gray
BT: Hailey & dad Ryan
iCarly
Noah Munck & Nathan Kress
BT: twins Kevin & Lindsay

Should be noted that the Supah Ninjas are playing two at a time.

LEVEL 1: BRAIN TEASE
- Mayfield Mountain Goats Hit Homers for 10... Everyone plays, everyone wins.
- Fun with Calculators for 25... another sweep!
- The Plump Plaza for 50... and Dillon & Taylor get tripped. Everyone else is still in it with 85.

For 100... Secret Treehouse Club... Victoria & Leon get knocked ... out... with 85. Leading: Supah Ninjas, House of Anubis, and iCarly, all perfect with 185. Bucket & Skinner are in with 135.

LEVEL 2: BRAIN FART
Today's Super Fantastic True Chronicle of Truth That Is Absolutely True is seven steps away from making you a pop star. Bucket & Skinner and two of the Supah Ninjas (Ryan & Carlos) are voted out, leaving House of Anubis and iCarly to take on...

KNOCKOUT ROUND
Nathalia & Jade insta-miss, and the teams have trouble matching what they were supposed to memorize. BUT Noah & Nathan take one for iCarly to win the game!

LEVEL 3: BRAIN TRIP
Today's Big Help partner: Boys & Girls Clubs of America. As for Kevin & Lindsay, Noah & Nathan are playing for an iChair, a Sportcraft air hockey table, and a vacation in Hawaii! And Noah & Nathan, with help from the twins, get the win with less than seven on the clock remaining. And you know what that means... Make it rain!

The BrainSurge premieres keep coming next time...

Joon starts with $200 Money, Money, Money, finding the Daily Double under $800. He bets $2400 of his money money money on this: released by the US Mint in January 1999, the first quarter honoring a state honored this one. "What is Delaware?" Correct for $5400! He jumps up to $11,400 to Hanna's $2800. Jared at $1800 will start Double Jeopardy!...

He finds the other under $2000 Tennessee Williams. If he bet it all... "Not a chance." Just saying. He bets $4000 on this: in this 1950 play, a dressmaker's deceased husband & her new boyfriend both sport the title art on their chests. "What is 'Clothes for a Summer Hotel'?" No, it was "The Rose Tattoo", dropping him to $26,400. The champ has $31,200.. With Hannah on $11,200 and Jared on $10,200, it's once again Joon's game to lose.

Frances solves CHOCOLATES ON MY PILLOW for the $1,000. She has $3,000.

Kira starts PHRASE...which is a PRIZE PUZZLE. She misses. Dan hits 2 $3,500 H's. But after a lot of work, he hits Lose a Turn. Frances and Kira Bankrupt (she loses the Wild Card). Dan misses the solve. Frances picks up the Italy Trip and solves IS THIS A GREAT GAME OR WHAT? for the trip and another one to the Divi Flamingo Resort and Casino in Bonaire worth $6,100!   Chris Pappas (Manchester, NH) - Ice cream maker
He's involved with his family's restaurant.

The 3rd question, which had $1,000, is jumped. He then sees this with $25,000 in his bank...

[Q4 - Smart Actors]
What Best Actor winner co-authored a paper in the journal "Current Biology" linking brain structure with political beliefs?
A: Colin Firth
B: Jeremy Irons
C: Russell Crowe
D: Daniel Day-Lewis

Though A jumped out at him, Chris wants to know what the audience thinks. 38% think it's D, while 32% think it's B, and A and C are tied at 15% each. With that, Chris uses his second Jump. The answer was indeed A, and he misses out on... $7,000.

He does manage to raise his total to $35,000 before this pops up...

[Q8 - Artistic Censorship]
In Botticelli's iconic painting "The Birth of Venus," a nude Venus covers her body with her hand and what?
A: Her hair
B: Fig leaf
C: Seashell
D: Loin cloth

Chris knows that B has been used in classical times to conceal nudity, but he could see A as a possibility as well. He isn't sure enough either way, so he walks with $17,500! As for the answer, it's A.

Lauren Bowers (Springfield, VA) - English tutor
She's hoping to get her degree in medieval history... in England.

She decides to jump the 4th question, leaving behind $10,000. She has $45,100 when she faces this...

[Q6 - Pizza Delivery]
For years, how many dots, or pips, have been depicted on the domino seen in the logo for Domino's Pizza?
A: 1
B: 3
C: 5
D: 7

Lauren says she's familiar with the logo, but she's not confident with this. So, she asks the audience, and 45% say C, while 36% say B. She was thinking either B or C, but with those results, she jumps this. The answer is B, and she won't get... $3,000.

She does get another $2,000 from the 7th question, making her total $47,100 to end the show for today. Lauren returns tomorrow!

CLUB MILLIONAIRE ANSWER - D: Right elbow on left knee
