Money, money, and more money is up for grabs as Family Feud returns with an annual tradition... the Feud's Big Money Tournament!

Johnston (Ray, Jim, Brice, Mason, McLovin McDowell)
Montgomery, AL
McFarland (Linda, Joel, Christina, Cameron, Andrew)
BIG MONEY JACKPOT: $60,000

The Chavez family await the winner of this matchup.

Round 1: 100 married women, a place you would go with the girls if your husband went out with the guys (full board). Ray gets #4, to the movies. Linda gets #2, to the strip joint. Not that she would know anything about that. Joel gets the big one with shopping. Spa, club, and restaurant are up there as well. The Johnstons try to getaway... but can't. McFarlands get 96. Other answers: casino, bingo hall.

Round 2: someone you might address as "sir" (7). Jim's father beats Joel's teacher, 3 to 5. Brice gets #2, boss. The McFarlands try to steal with the PO-lice... Number one for 135! Other answers: an elder, the President, customer/client.

Double: if a grown man had a tree house, something he'd keep in it (full board). Mason gets the big one... BEvERages. TV, tools, and dirty mags are there as well. Can the McFarlands steal with the refrigerator? Nope. 106 to the Johnstons. Other answers: food, cigarettes.

Triple: something that starts with the word "wonder" (4). Cameron gets #2, Wonder bread. Andrew looks wonderful for #1. The Wonderbra... surprisingly not there. Wonderland and Wonder Woman win it for the McFarlands, 411-106.

Fast Money: Linda & Cameron get 118. Jackpot stays at $60,000.

In the nightcap, the Mosses (Cizzle C, Tiffany, Geraldine, Tomeka, Morgen; $480) challenge the Chaidez (Martha, Miechelle, Irma, Patty, Sonia). The Mosses lead, 197-59. Triple:something that motivates a man to start exercising regularly (4). Tomeka gets the big one, his wife. Health reasons follow. The Chaidez try to steal with a better sex... Not there! Mosses win, 368-59. Other answers: overweight, new job.

Fast Money: Tomeka & Morgen get 176 for $880, $1360 total.

Stephen couldn't be caught yesterday in a low-scoring affair. Now a new day awaits.

Stephen Fineman
Morristown, NJ
science teacher
$6001
Lisa Fritsche
Columbia, MO
Sunday school director
Jennah Durant
Dallas
public affairs specialist

Stephen starts with $200 Monty Python Forever. Thanks to some silly walks, dead parakeets, and the larch, Stephen leads, $3800 to $2400 for Jennah and $1800 for Lisa.

Stephen finds the Daily Double under $1000 Awards & Honors. He bets his lead, $1600, on this: in 1980, this Norman Mailer book won a Pulitzer, not a pardon. "What is 'Nixon'?" Nope, it was "The Executioner's Song", leaving he and Lisa tied at $3400. He gets $200 back, but with Lisa at $4400 and Jennah at $5400, Stephen will be the one to start Double Jeopardy!...

... with $400 "Can"ned Words. Lisa gets the first Daily Double under $1600 Official State Stuff. She fronts $2000 on this: it's official state fossil is Chesapecten jeffersonius. "What is Virginia?" Right for $10,400. Jennah finds the other under $1600 Historic Nicknames, betting $2000 on "the Knight of the Cloak". "Who Sir Lancelot?" Nope, Sir Walter Raleigh, leaving her with $3800. Lisa leads it with $14,000, but at $7600, Stephen can still catch her. Jennah is in the middle with $9800.

Final Jeopardy! in "Communication": a government website says it's "a complete complex language... said to be the 4th most commonly used" in the US. Correct response: what is American Sign Language?

Lisa loses it by questioning "What is Spanish?", giving Jennah the win with $18,800. Stephen leaves with $7001.

Will the Groundhog pop up his head on Saturday? Let's see if this show will be an indicator...

Noah Gregoropolis
Improv Teacher
Illinois
Esther Lindstrom
AmeriCorps Leader
Illinois

It's a battle of Illinois so far. Noah has all the money at $550 when an Extra shows up. $500 goes on the block on this: 'Accountant on Cheers'. Norm gets him up to $1,050. he has a nice $1,350 to $150 lead on Esther.

But the Spoilers can make any Groundhog's Decision miserable.

Michael Falk
Meteorologist (and former J! Champ)
Wisconsin
Jim Law
Carpenter
Michigan
Julie Inman
Performer
California

Michael spoils...Esther, but at least at $350, he's in the front row. But it's all Noah when he finds the Extra at $1,950. He puts up $800 on this - 'Cattail Site'. Marsh gets him $800 and a $2,750-$350 lead. Jim goes for the Spoil but gets locked out. Michael finds the second Extra, and at $750, he has no choice but to gamble the $1,000 max on this - 'Image of a Diety other than G-d'. Icon? No. Idol. Mike drops to -$250 and it's now a race on who can spoil Noah. So far, no one can as Noah leads, $4,050 vs. -$250 for Michael.

Round 3: Esther spoils....Michael, which is not the person who Esther wanted to spoil. Michael's happy, because he gets to spoil Noah on the very next question. Julie gets to spoil...Esther, which again is the wrong podium to spoil. She does find the Extra at $550, and she has to go for $2,000 on this - 'Witches Facial Blemish; Wart gets her to $2,550, but still far away from Michael's $4,950...make that Esther's $5,050 as she spoils Michael...but Noah takes his podium back as time runs out. Noah wins with $5,250, which is only fitting since he spent the most time building the money up.

But can he make it $10,250 and a trip to Cabo San Lucas? Yes he can, and barely does it with seconds to spare. So one of the better players on the show wins $10,250 and gets the trip. Ok Mr. Groundhog, it's safe to come out, so do so...please....

Ague - Successive bouts of chills and fever

Chad Justen (Toledo, OH) has $2,000 and 2 lifelines, but still no luggage, going into today's show.

[$8,000]
The ancient port of Byzantium is the site of which of these present-day cities?
A: Beirut
B: Rome
C: Athens
D: Istanbul

Though he has an inkling, Chad calls his friend, John. He says it's D. But just to make sure, Chad uses the 50:50, leaving C and D. He locks in D... and they're both right!

[$25,000]
Featured in the movie "Dead Poets Society," the famous line "I sound my barbaric yawp" was penned by what poet?
A: E.E. Cummings
B: Allen Ginsberg
C: Walt Whitman
D: T.S. Eliot

Chad says that C is jumping out at him, and that he's sure it isn't A or B. But he's not sure enough to go for it, so Chad walks with $16,000! As it turns out, though, it was indeed C.

Tim Hastings (Tonowanda, NY): He's a disc jockey, and before they start, he wants to rub the million dollar check for good luck. He then acts like he's about to take off with it. Heh.

Well, he can at least take off with $1,000 once he's done here. Moments after securing that amount, he gets to this...

[$16,000]
"Great Lake State" is a common nickname for a U.S. state that also goes by which of these monikers?
A: Gopher State
B: Badger State
C: Wolverine State
D: Beaver State

Tim asks the audience, and 59% are thinking C. Though he originally didn't think that option made sense, he trusts them... and they're right!

[$25,000]
In fancy restaurants, which of the following is often known as an "amuse-bouche"?
A: After-dinner drink
B: Small appetizer
C: Dessert plate
D: Basket of bread

He's leaning towards D, but Tim decides to use the 50:50. Guess what? A and B remain. He then calls his brother, Rob, and he says, "Tiny bite sized morsel served before the Hors D'oeuvre or the first course of a meal." In other words, B. Tim goes with that... and he has $25,000! Then, after he switches out a question, this pops up...

[$50,000] (Q)
Which of these characters was not an opponent in Nintendo's popular boxing video game "Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!"?
A: Von Kaiser
B: Super Macho Man
C: Soda Popinski
D: Max Payne

Tim says he remembers this game, then says B... but he didn't remember it well enough. It's D! Well, at least he can take off with $25,000! And with that, we're done for the week.

On Monday, they're bringing out the double Hot Seat for Wedding Week! Don't miss it!
